Sheffield City Council
Sheffield City Council is employing the CommerceWorks solution to power the city’s SafetyNet program. The SafetyNet Program aims to protect at risk children by creating a secure, Web-based system by which personnel from various agencies can submit and access relevant information on a potentially at-risk child. Without such additional documentation and information from other professionals, it is often difficult to provide protection for these children. The SafetyNet program Sheffield City Council connects the departments of education, social services and health. CommerceWorks have used CWConnect to power the integration of data from each department’s own systems and applications.
“This secure application enables senior practitioners in and around Sheffield City to rapidly identify other professionals from various agencies working with a child in order to assess whether the child is at risk of not achieving their full potential and therefore assign appropriate resources,” commented James Randall, Head of Integration services, Sheffield City Council.
Rother District Council
“One of the advantages of working with Commerceworks on integration is that they can provide the kind of partnership working that delivers results. They understand and support our overall strategy. We tell them what the underlying databases are behind the systems and where our data resides in the Applications, and what we want to achieve and they have the software and expertise to deliver at a cost that is within our financial reach” said Richard Chown, Rother District Council Business Development Manager.
Department for Communities and Local Government
The National Register of Social Housing (NROSH), established by the Department for Communities and Local Government (formerly The Office of The Deputy Prime Minister), has employed CommerceWorks to create an automated data extraction toolkit system. CommerceWorks has used Quovadx Cloverleaf Integration Suite to validate and submit this data to the main NROSH database using a standardized XML schema, automating what was once a lengthy inexact paper-based process conducted each year. Using the CommerceWorks solution NROSH can produce timelier and more useful trend reports, informing more effective strategies and saving significant public resources.
“Public sector entities, domestically and abroad, are increasingly looking toward technology to better service their constituents, improve efficiencies, and tap the resources and knowledge of multiple social service agencies in a cost-effective manner,” said Paul Bellamy, vice president of alliances, international, Quovadx. “We are proud to work with CommerceWorks to enable Sheffield City Council and the NROSH, as well as other organizations, to take advantage of their existing data systems to better protect their residents.”
